I Am A Celebrity is set to air a special spin-off series celebrating friends who’ve camped out over the years – but there will be a big format change.
Favorite contestants from the jungle and castle series, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, will return to the screens to do it all again.
From past winners to unforgettable classics and contestants, some of the fan favorites will return to camp life when filming begins later this year.
However, there will be some major changes, while ITV has yet to confirm the spin-off series or who is likely to participate.
An insider told The Mirror that the special series is currently scheduled to air in 2023, as the old cast joins others in the show’s previous series.
Ant and Dec will be held as usual, but this time it will be held in South Africa.
It will be a lot like the old series with camp friends expected to take on the challenge and live in the camp, but it will also be very different – and not just because of the location.
This time around, the camp members will take their own destiny into their own hands throughout the series, thanks to internal voting and challenges.
It seems they have to decide the fate of the participants, as well as who will take on the challenges – in a similar way used in the Australian version of the series earlier this year.

It’s been billed as a brand new spin-off to the popular show, while there will also be a regular jungle show premiere in November when Ant and Dec head back to Australia for the first time in two years.
The series is expected to air in 2023, and for now it seems ITV is still hopeful that the jungle version will continue – despite worries about whether the coronavirus pandemic will put a stop to things. or not.
I Am A Celebrity 2022 will premiere later this year on ITV and ITV Hub.
