My wife had a note taped to her windshield that slammed shut when parked

A MAN was furious after his wife received a note pinned to her windscreen complaining about the way she had parked.

The note was captioned “Unintelligent Vehicle Owner” in capital letters, with the word unintelligent misspelled.

The note said cones had been set aside for a furniture delivery

It continues: “The reason a clone (sic) was placed there was to allow for a furniture delivery.

“This thank you could not take place and the delivery has to be postponed.

“Why people like you cannot understand the reason for their actions is beyond normal understanding.

“Your action has caused problems for many people.”

A snapshot of the note was later uploaded to Reddit by a user named “bwsoldier.”

Social media post sharply divided commentators.

At least one person sided with the homeowner, writing: “You have now put at a disadvantage the numerous people you will be writing letters to pending redelivery. That’s up to you mate, you just have to learn to live with yourself.”

However, many expressed their sympathy for the husband.

One wrote: “Reminds me of this guy in my old Tesco who had the audacity to pull 2 cones out of his BMW trunk and place them in the gaps left and right of him. 15 minutes later they both landed on his roof and bonnet and then the naughty f****r had the further gall to complain to us about it.”

Another added: “Did they have council permission to put the cone there? Probably not.”

A third commented: “Yes I’ve moved unofficial ‘clones’ to park on a public street before.

“Once a guy came out on a random street and started blaming me. I just smiled and said, ‘Oh, I’m glad I found you. I wanted to warn you that blocking the public freeway with skittles is a criminal offense, I really don’t want to get you in trouble. No, that’s ok, no need to thank me.’

“And with that I walked away.”

In the UK, putting up traffic cones or rubbish bins to save a parking space is not permitted.

Councilor Vernon Smith of Gloucestershire County Council said: “Blocking the road with traffic cones or wheeled bins is dangerous for any reason.”

Cops also say it’s not “your right” to park in front of your house unless you have a designated spot.

Motorists must comply with the traffic regulations and must not cause any obstructions.
