Nadine Dorries shared “bile runaway” via LBC presenter James O’Brien

THE culture minister has come under renewed fire on social media after it emerged she had re-shared a post in which she called a journalist an “Islamist apologist” and called for his sacking.

Nadine Dorries shared a Twitter post targeting LBC radio host James O’Brien, whom she called a “bully”.

The full post read: “I believe LBC’s James O’Brien is a hate preacher, a liar, a misogynist, a hater in the UK and an apologist for Islamist atrocities.

“I also believe he is a bully hiding behind the Global/LBC name that condones his behavior.

“I also believe that he should be released. Please R/T [please retweet] If you agree.”

At around 1:30am on March 23, 2018, a year before she was lifted from the Tory backbenches, Dorries re-shared the post on Twitter.

It was quickly deleted but caught by website Politwoops, which records tweets removed by politicians.

It’s not the first time Dorrie has shared hate on social media, although he claims in a BBC Interview published today (November 19) that left-wing activists have “hijacked” online platforms and that people should “soften condemnation and judgment”.

Her retweet of the post calling for O’Brien to be fired comes despite warning in this BBC interview that people are afraid to speak their mind for fear of being “cancelled”.

She was previously interviewed at a Westminster committee meeting about Tweets she sent calling O’Brien a “f***wit”..

O’Brien highlighted Dorries’ deleted retweet, writing on Twitter that he was “shocked” by the language used.

He wrote: “Damn it. Even I’m shocked.

“Nadine Dorries did this to me. Deleted very quickly, but how could any reasonably respectable politician retweet this out of joint bile about anyone? Not to mention a politician now complaining about online abuse?” Nadine Dorries shared “bile runaway” via LBC presenter James O’Brien
