A TEAM of restaurant workers have joined forces to raise over £1,000 for a charity.
Staff at Nando’s in Hove completed a charity walk from Eastbourne to Brighton to raise funds for The Crew Club.
The Club is a grassroots charity working with children, young people and their families in Whitehawk, Brighton.
Around 30 Nando staff and Crew Club members took part in the hike, which took place last week.
They met in Eastbourne at 9am and walked 26 miles along the coast back to Brighton, arriving just over nine hours later.
Crew Club co-founder Darren Snow said: “We were delighted to hear from Nando’s in Hove that their regional staff had chosen us as one of their local charities to support them.
“It was great to meet some of your team. We are delighted to have formed this relationship with them and are so grateful for all of their support.”
Craig Moore, Branch Manager, Nando’s Hove said: “Each Nando’s restaurant builds its own partnerships with local charities and is free to choose which ones to support.
“We know how important the Crew Club’s work is to the young people of East Brighton, one of the most disadvantaged areas in Britain.
“We were delighted to meet their team and support them by organizing a fundraising march with some of our employees and some of them.
“It was a huge success and together we managed to raise £1,052.”
