The offer is to have your name saved to a flash drive as part of the upcoming Artemis I mission.

The launch is expected to happen in the next few months, although an exact date has not yet been confirmed.

“Artemis I will be the first uncrewed flight test of the Space Launch System, which bombarded the Orion spacecraft,” NASA said.

“The flight paves the way for the landing of the first woman and the first person of color on the moon!”

When you sign up, you get access to a virtual boarding pass.

It will include your name and flight details.

And you get a QR code that lets you participate in Nasa launches as a virtual guest.

Of course, you’re not actually flying into space.

But a representation of you will float around the moon, which is pretty fun – and completely free.

“All eyes will be on historic Launch Complex 39B when Orion and the Space Launch System (SLS) lift off from NASA’s modernized Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the first time,” Nasa said.

“The mission will demonstrate our commitment and ability to extend human existence to the moon and beyond.

“Artemis I will be the first in a series of increasingly complex missions that will establish a long-term human presence on the moon for decades to come.”
