The majority of cinemas in Ireland will offer tickets for €4 on Saturday, September 3.
o In celebration of National Cinema Day, 95 cinemas in the country will reduce ticket prices to just €4.
This includes premium seats and screens, and 3D screenings, for movies currently playing on the big screen, including Top Gun, Nope and An Cailín Ciúin.
Tickets can be purchased through the participating cinemas’ websites and at the box office from tomorrow, August 29.
Speaking about the announcement, the director of the film has just been announced JoyrideEmer Reynolds said: “There is nothing quite like the magic of cinema, going through waves of shared emotions, laughing and crying in the dark among strangers!
“It’s one of life’s great joys! I can’t wait to celebrate National Film Day at my local cinema, enjoying the epic power and beauty of the big screen!”
Omniplex Cinema director Mark Anderson said he was delighted to be part of the celebration.
“Cinema has been in Irish society for over 100 years now and we are delighted to join National Cinema Day by offering €4 tickets to all screenings, all day, including screenings. new,” he said.
“It’s important that the industry celebrates cinema and what better to do than enjoy a movie (or two) on September 3.
“There’s something for everyone to enjoy! See you on Saturday, and make sure to book early to avoid disappointment!”
