NCSoft was introduced recently throne and liberty appears to be heading to PlayStation 5 along with the originally announced PC release.
This message comes from a report on Technosteria, referring to a South Korean publication, Inven, which shared an interview with NCSoft officials. This interview brought up Throne and Liberty, formerly known as Project TL. Company officials were asked if they think the game could be further delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, but they replied that they should have a more specific announcement about a release schedule by the summer. However, before we learn anything about release dates, they plan to run some tests first.
Another detail in the interview was that the game is now set to be released for the PlayStation 5. As part of this interview, Inven was shown images of the PlayStation 5 version, confirming at least one console version. One point the team didn’t go into detail about was the game’s business model.
“The genres we prepare inside are very diverse, and we design BMs (business models) that suit them,” said director Choi Moon-young (Quotes via Google Translate). Details on what Throne and Liberty’s business model might look like could also be announced in the summer as they announce Q4 for a possible release.
throne and liberty has gone through various incarnations on its way to what appears to be the final stretch. Now, with the confirmation of a PlayStation 5 release, plans appear to be going deep.
NCSoft also plans to reveal more about the related game Project E soon. Both games are set in the same world at the same time, but each has a different focus. Core events that take place in both games still occur, but affect circumstances and people differently.
