But you are risking your data if someone else gets yours iPhone.

Luckily, there are a few ways to increase the security of your smartphone.

One of these hacks is the “double click” trick shared by tick tock Creator @pcaxwithmaxwho regularly reveals gadget tips.

His video about quickly disabling your iPhone’s Face ID feature (so someone has to physically enter a passcode instead) garnered over 1,500 likes.

“So you can deactivate Face ID in about five seconds,” Max explained in his video.

“If you don’t want someone to use your face to unlock your phone.

“Whether you gave your phone to your friend or think someone is trying to steal it, this will come in handy.”

To perform the trick, wake your phone but keep it locked.

Then hold the Power button and press Volume Up to bring up the emergency menu.

Once this is done, it is no longer possible to open your iPhone with Face ID for a single unlock.

This means that anyone who opens your iPhone needs to know your passcode.

Once unlocked, it will go back to normal and Face ID will start working again.

But that prevents someone from grabbing your iPhone and quickly scanning your face to gain access.

Apple already has some built-in protections to prevent Face ID fraud.

There’s a special eye recognition feature that means your iPhone has to track your “attention” to unlock it.

This is to prevent someone from using your face to unlock the iPhone while you sleep.

Just one thing…

This isn’t the only iPhone privacy hack you need to know.

If you let someone use your iPhone, you risk giving them access to your WhatsApp.

Luckily there is a way Create a secondary lock on WhatsApp.

That means someone can use your phone with your permission – but without letting them into your WhatsApp messages.

“As an added security measure, you can enable Touch ID or Face ID on WhatsApp,” the company said.

“You can still reply to messages from notifications and receive calls when WhatsApp is locked.”

On the iPhone, you have two choices: Touch ID or Face ID.

Which one you use depends on your iPhone model – but it means either unlocking via a fingerprint or face scan.

To enable it, go to WhatsApp, open Settings, then tap Account.

Next go to Privacy and then to Screen lock.

After that, you should enable either Require Touch ID or Require Face ID.

You also have the option to choose how long WhatsApp can be on standby – before you need Touch ID or Face ID.

Remember: you can turn this off at any time by going back to your WhatsApp settings.

If unlocking doesn’t work, you can still access it using your iPhone passcode.
