They say, “If your windshield is frozen over, you should put down the sun visor when de-icing.”

“It stops the flow of air and thus ensures that the windshield defrosts faster.”

And her final tip was another way drivers can use their keys.

Holding down the unlock button will open your car’s windows, while holding down the lock button will close them.

This is ideal in the warmer months to avoid jumping straight into a hot car.

The hack works on many different models and is not limited to one manufacturer.

The car experts explained: “All you have to do is press and hold the unlock button on the key fob and your car windows will roll down while you are outside the vehicle.

“On some cars, you may have to press and hold the unlock button once, release it, and then press it again before it works.”
