Neverwinter’s next module, Dragonslayer, lets players slay dragons in June


The next module for Never winter, the 23rd module of the Dungeons & Dragons MMO, was revealed during today’s D&D Direct. Dragonslayer will let players participate in the eponymous activity on PC and consoles starting in June.

The latest module, inspired by Dungeons & Dragons’ Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons Sourcebook, brings a dragon-powered adventure to the game D&D MMO. Players will be able to hunt down the beasts with a brand new dragon hunting system Never winter as part of the update and what Gearbox Publishing San Francisco (formerly Perfect World) and Cryptic Studios did a “complete overhaul of Neverwinters dragons.”

About this morning’s press release:

“The module lets players become dragon slayers as they enter epic lairs and hunt chromatic dragons from the D&D universe. Dragonslayer will introduce a brand new dragon hunting system, bringing new battles, lairs, challenges, rewards and much more to Neverwinter. Additionally, the update will include a complete overhaul of Neverwinter’s dragons, making them more epic than ever, along with a major content update for the D&D fan favorite Temple of Tiamat Trial, pitting players against the 5-headed draconic goddess , Tiamat.”

While the exact details of the Dragon Hunt system are yet to be fully revealed, the studio promises more information ahead of the module’s June release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
