A NEW ‘Amusement Park’ is coming to the South West of England from the creative team behind the popular Boomtown festival.

Wake The Tiger is billed as a “fantastic experience” that will blur the lines between an art gallery, theme park and movie set.

The amusement park, which promises to have a “playful psychedelic twist throughout”, is set to open in Bristol this summer.

The experience was created by a collection of over 100 artists, including landscape painters, robot experts, costume designers, architects, poets and prop makers.

Upon arrival at Wake the Tiger amusement park, visitors enter a secret portal into the world of Meridia.

Then, guests face a multi-layered maze of immersive environments, secret passages, hidden forests, temples, ice caves, and mesmerizing wonders.

That official Wake the Tiger website describes the amusement park as “somewhere between Willy Wonka and Mad Max”.

Organizers have promised that it will be an attraction for all ages – kids, teens and adults alike – with all age groups getting a different experience from the multi-faceted attraction.

Wake the Tiger expects 300,000 visitors per year and aims to create at least 55 new jobs for local creative, hospitality and production teams.

While there are currently no rides on the walkthrough experience, the producers have promised a huge expansion of the site in the future.

Wake the Tiger is produced by the team behind it Boomtown Festival – an immersive music festival near Winchester, Hampshire.

Every year, the festival takes night owls to other worlds in a dystopian future.

This year’s Boomtown festival promises to have recreated the perfect post-pandemic world.

Deviating from the norm, they have decided to keep this year’s line-up of musical performances a secret until just before the August 2022 event.

Past artists to have performed at Boomtown include Ms. Lauryn Hill, The Streets, Groove Armada and Madness.
