New book claims ‘Princess’ Meghan scolded Harry’s friends over transgender and feminism jokes

Meghan Markle “chided” Prince Harry’s friends for making jokes about transgender and feminism in the early stages of their relationship, according to a new bio.

he book by Tom Bower, called Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the WindsorsShe claims some of the old Etonions thought Meghan was a “princess” and had no sense of humor.

The Duke had invited 16 friends to a shooting party in Sandringham shortly after his relationship with Meghan was revealed in November 2016 and was looking forward to the jokes, banter and drinking, Bower suggests in a released excerpt The times.

“He didn’t expect Meghan’s reaction,” the book reads. “Her jokes about sexism, feminism and transgender people roamed the living room and dining room.

“Meghan would not hesitate to challenge any guest whose conversation went against her values.”

Bower claims, “She would repeatedly chide her for the slightest inappropriate nuance. As we drove home after lunch on Sunday, the texts rang between the cars, “OMG, what about HER?” said one; ‘Harry must be fucking crazy’.”

When Prince Harry and Meghan traveled to Jamaica a few months later in March 2017 for the wedding of one of his oldest friends, many friends were once again disappointed in the actress, the book says.

Some friends said Meghan had bickered over food and had been “a princess” and allegedly refused to engage with Harry’s friends. “She wasn’t interested in us,” one is quoted as saying.

The Duchess is also accused of frustrating staff during a photo shoot for Reitmans, a Canadian clothing brand, in March 2016, a few months before she met Prince Harry.

“She longed to be the face of Ralph Lauren, not Reitmans,” Bower says. A year later, for a second photoshoot at a Montreal hotel, Meghan criticized the hotel’s Tempurpedic robe and slippers, sources say.

She was also heard complaining about “the production, the clothes, the style and the script.”

“She wanted Dior,” says the book. “The tea was the wrong mix and the vegan green juice was warm.”

The actress “was always sighing, snorting and rolling her eyes,” writes Bower. The “only consolation” was Meghan’s appearance. “In front of the lens, she transformed into a warm, glamorous icon,” the book says.

The book’s latest excerpt was released as the Duke was due to invoke the “memories and legacy” of Nelson Mandela today as he addressed the United Nations as the keynote speaker on food security and climate change. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not respond to requests for comment.
