TURKISH will launch new direct flights from the UK to popular tourist destinations this spring.

The airline has announced new flights from Manchester to Antalya and Dalaman.

Live routes will launch to Antalya from 1 April and to Dalaman until 2 April.

Turkish Airlines director at Manchester Osman Battal said: “We are able to meet the needs of our passengers. They have easy and seamless access to Turkey’s unique holiday destinations.

“Whether vacation makers or golf enthusiasts, we aim to provide all our passengers with unforgettable times with Turkish Airlines.”

The airline already operates from London Gatwick and London Heathrow Airport, as well as Edinburgh and Birmingham.

However, Manchester Airport Chief Executive Karen Smart has hailed the new non-stop routes which will launch in time for the summer.

She added: “It is great to see Turkish Airlines announcing new direct routes from Manchester Airport to two of our most popular holiday destinations in Turkey.”

It’s not the only airline expanding its routes – low-cost carrier SunExpress has teamed up with Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines to launch Anglo-Turkish flights this summer.

Routes will start from £59, operating seven direct flights weekly.
