New Elden Ring patch powers up a boss that was accidentally nerfed

Bandai Namco has announced a small patch for Elden Ring that will be released on all platforms today, April 4th. The patch buffs some attacks for Boss Starscourge Radahn, who was unintentionally weakened in the latest version of the game.

The Elden Ring 1.03 patch arrived last month and made many adjustments to the game. However, one was unintentional, making the notoriously tricky Radahn much weaker than it should be on some attacks. As a result, a new version of 1.03 arrives today.

The only patch note reads: “Fixed the balance adjustment of the boss ‘Starscourge Radahn’ in update 1.03, where the power of some attacks was unintentionally reduced.” The patch is coming today for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/ S and Steam.

Players on the Elden Ring subreddit broadly welcomed the change, with Naldo273 saying, “On my second playthrough, he was a complete joke. You could actually just drive around and watch the NPCs melt him down. I don’t know what people were thinking defending this nerf. God forbid, one of the most epic boss fights in From History doesn’t collapse on the first try.

If you’re fighting with the demigod after the change, our Elden Ring guide has some tips on how to beat Starscourge Radahn.
