New iPhone 14 price increases revealed – including a “secret increase” on the OLD model

BRITS will pay more for the 2022 batch of iPhones than last year.

But that’s not all: Apple also quietly increased the price of an older model.

This is not a big surprise as prices in the UK have been rising steadily across all sectors.

In any case, you pay more than last year for every new iPhone model on the market.

Prices are also generally slightly higher than US markups, although US calculations do not include taxes.

For the iPhone 14pay £849 versus the US price of $799.

And that’s more than last year’s cost of the iPhone 13 of £779 – an increase of £70.

There’s also no Apple iPhone Mini in the new lineup.

While last year’s cheapest iPhone 13 (the Mini) started at £679, this year’s cheapest iPhone 14 costs £849.

Now there is a new one iPhone 14 plus £949 (vs. $899) model, but this doesn’t have a direct equivalent last year.

When it comes to them iPhone 14 propay £1,099 – more than the $999 in America.

Last year you would have paid £949 for the equivalent iPhone 13 Pro.

That’s a whopping £150 jump in price.

It’s a similar story for that iPhone 14 pro maxwhich costs £1,199 (vs. $1,099 in the US).

Last year the iPhone 13 Pro Max cost £1,049 – another £150 price increase.

However, it’s not just new iPhones that have borne the brunt of soaring prices.

Apple has also quietly increased the price of its low-end model: the iPhone SE.

This revised budget blower was launched in early 2022 for a frugal £419.

But after this week’s Apple event, the iPhone SE has mysteriously climbed to £449.

That’s a stealthy £30 price hike that nobody expected.

The price doesn’t seem to have changed in the US – sorry UK.

On a positive note, the new iPhone models come with a lot of great new features.

And iPhones these days seem to last longer than ever (thanks in part to great software support going back many generations), so you might not need to upgrade every two years.

But if you were hoping for a price drop for 2022, sadly it didn’t happen.

Still, some retailers might be offering discounts in the run up to Christmas – and especially over Black Friday.
