Maisie Crompton, 20, is expecting her first child and to make sure everything goes smoothly when the baby arrives, she’s come up with a strict list of rules.

From showing up unannounced to kissing the baby, Maisie, an entrepreneur, has banned several things some people would consider normal.

She shared the list on TikTok but left her fans divided as some said the rules were too strict and upset people.

First, please don’t kiss the baby.

Second – No unannounced visitors, for the first few days we want it to be just us.

Third – Don’t announce our baby is here until we do (on social media or in person)

Four – No photos of the baby will be posted until we do.

Five – Don’t come if you’re sick.

Six – Wash your hands before holding them.

Seven – Don’t ask to see the baby if you haven’t examined me during pregnancy.

Eight – If our baby cries, please give it back to me or her father.

Maisie’s video went viral and soon had nearly 300,000 views alongside hundreds of comments.

One user said: “You would think number one is obvious… but people still do it!

Then another wrote: “I only let immediate family see us for the first two weeks after the birth, it was the best decision.”

And a third added: “Thankfully most people just make these things. I had a baby in December and everyone just had the respect we deserved so no enforcement was needed.

“My family and friends gave us so much space when our babies were born,” commented another user. “I was really bored to death and wanted help/companion.”

Then someone wrote: “How are you going to enforce these rules in the family? I feel like I’m going to piss people off.”

And Maisie replied: “I honestly think most people will know, will do this as a base anyway, but we’ll see when it comes to that!”
