A NEW Pokémon has been revealed for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, and fans have already found it in Pokémon Go.
It’s the first Paldean Pokémon to appear in the mobile game, and possibly the first for players to catch.
The new Pokemon is an all-new design for the Paldea region and isn’t linked to any previously revealed Pokemon.
Its name is Gimmighul, and it’s a Ghost Pokémon with the Rattled Ability.
This means if Gimmighoul is attacked by a super effective Dark, Bug or Ghost type move, its speed will increase by one level.
The most interesting thing about Gimmighul is that it’s one of the few non-legendary Pokémon with two forms.
Previous Pokemon include Morpeko, Burmy, Rotom, and Deerling.
Its main form – Chest Forme – looks like a chest you would find in a fantasy RPG.
In these games, living chests usually act as mimics that will attack you if you try to open them.
Its second form is Roaming Forme. At that moment, the ghost in the chest goes out to collect coins.
Gimmighoul’s chest shape has already appeared on the map in Pokémon Go. However, players cannot catch it yet.
When players click on Gimmighoul on the map to catch it, it just disappears.
However, there is hope for Pokémon Go players that Gimmighoul can be caught in the game soon.
It is believed that there will be a special research task where Gimmighoul can be caught at the end.
Players were initially confused as to why they couldn’t click Gimmighoul, but it’s now clear that it’s a marketing plan ahead of next-gen releases.
Although the new Pokemon was revealed over the weekend, it has received a lot of attention.
This is due to the fact that humans can interact with it in Pokémon Go.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch on November 18th.
