New report reveals Amber Heard accused Jason Momoa of alarming behavior on set

“Aquaman” star Jason Momoa is facing a barrage of troubling allegations.
According to a Variety report published on Tuesday about the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” Amber Heard accused Mamoa of showing up drunk on the set of the upcoming sequel. She dressed like her ex-husband Johnny Depp and called for her dismissal.
The report is based on notes from Heard’s therapists that were part of a defamation trial between Depp and Heard.
“Jason said he wanted me fired,” the notes read, according to Variety. “Jason is drunk – late on set. Dress like Johnny. He has all the rings too.”
The notes were reportedly written by therapist Dr. Written by Dawn Hughes, but declared inadmissible in the Heard trial against Depp. He sued her for defamation in 2019 after she described herself as a “public figure who advocates domestic violence” in a 2018 editorial.
Heard said NBC’s “Dateline” After losing the case in 2022, she wished that “a folder containing years of notes from 2011” had been admitted into evidence. According to Variety, Depp fans eventually crowdfunded the legal costs to get her therapy notes and then published them.
The new report comes just months before the $215 million Aquaman sequel hits theaters.
HuffPost has reached out to reps for Mamoa and Heard for comment. Both actors declined comment to Variety.
However, a DC Films spokesperson and an anonymous source denied the claims to the broadcaster.
“Jason Momoa conducted himself professionally at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” the DC Fims spokesperson told Variety.
“Jason plays his ass off, likes to have a beer every now and then like everyone, but doesn’t come to set drunk,” Variety quoted an insider as saying. “And he doesn’t dress like Johnny Depp. He always dressed in a bohemian style.”

The notes also included comments about franchise director James Wan, whom Heard accused of bullying behavior.
“He raised his voice at me – ‘I can’t even post anything about Aquaman’ – made it seem like it was my fault – I said ‘I’m sorry,'” the therapy documents say regarding Wan. “Given the power outage, no one could take selfies with me on set.”
The DC spokesperson told Variety that Wan treats his cast “with the utmost respect.”
Heard was almost fired from the sequel in 2018, although executives denied in court that it was related to her public feud with Depp, saying it was partly due to a noticeable lack of chemistry with Momoa.
Variety reported that prior to Depp’s lawsuit and the resulting media attention, “Aquaman” executives informed Heard of plans to remove her from the sequel via a letter to her lawyer.
Elon Musk, who dated Heard from 2017 to 2018, is said to have saved Heard from a new date. A source close to this behind-the-scenes battle told Variety that the billionaire sent a “scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down” if Heard wasn’t cast in “Aquaman 2.” would be brought back.
The first film allegedly grossed $1.15 billion at the global box office and unexpectedly became the highest-grossing DC film of all time Batman And Superman.
It remains to be seen whether a sequel can recapture that magic after reports of reshoots and low test scores plagued the production, as well as this behind-the-scenes controversy surrounding Heard and Momoa.
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” hits theaters on December 20th.
