MORE travel rules are being phased out this week – making going on vacation much easier.
All remaining Covid travel rules are being left at 4 a.m. Fridayincludes a Passenger Locator Form and Covid tests for unvaccinated Britons.
The changes came before the Easter holiday and will save travelers time and money – here’s the full list of travel changes being implemented this week.
Removed passenger locator forms
The removal of PLFs is a major change from this week and is the only change affecting vaccinated travelers.
All arrivals to the UK must now fill out an application form and request information about your travel details, address and immunization status.
Even though the form was simplified last month, it’s still time-consuming and annoying for travelers, so holidaymakers will be relieved to see the back of it.
Pre-departure tests have been removed so as not to be adjusted
Pre-departure tests have been eliminated for Britons who were vaccinated again in January, but were kept for unvaccinated travellers.
From Friday, no one will have to do them – regardless of vaccination status.
The second day test has been removed so there is no adjustment
The second day test was also skipped for Britons to be vaccinated in February.
Unvaccinated Britons still have to take the pill – this is no longer the case from Friday.
Airlines give up mandatory masks
More and more airlines are removing the mandatory mask on board, with more announcing new changes this week.
Ryanair are expected to phase out mandatory masks in the coming weeks, as boss Michael O’Leary has said they will likely be phased out in the spring.
According to Evening StandardHe said he hopes to see the end of face masks on planes by “late April or May”.
Also, Heathrow Airport has confirmed Passengers will no longer have to wear masks while traveling from tomorrow.
These are the vacation destinations that Unvaccinated children can travel to – and the ones they can’t.
