New Valheim devblog updates on Mistlands, showing new animated rabbit and building screenshots

Work on Mistlands continues Walheim, with Iron Gate providing a new brief update on how things are going. The update includes some animated concept art as well as some newly revealed structures that should add some history to the world.

With Walheim, work on the world continues, and with the Mistlands, the team is taking their time to continue and refine ongoing development. Although ‘polishing’ can sometimes mean that something looks weathered and altered over time. This is important when it comes to the newly uncovered structures in the devblog. One is a cracked building with overgrown green fauna that has found a home and spiraled into the foundation. The other looks like a section of stone bridge or something else that used to work.

Now that piece remains, which also has cracks and green plant life opportunistically climbing up its sides. Both are in the process of receiving final design passes, but while they may still be tweaked, they already align with the team’s goal as “the Mistlands were once a place where civilizations built ancient homes and strongholds.” built like”.

Also from the Mistlands, they’ve unveiled some new animated footage of the Mistland Rabbit, a creature that will be wandering around the Mistlands year-round, but with Spring and Easter coming up, the team thought it might be a fun thing to see her in animated form to reveal after the bunny was initially revealed earlier in stills. Iron Gate is teasing “a different breed of denizens for the Mistlands” they’ve been working on, but will remain a surprise for now.

The devblog also updates an issue with cloud sync affecting some players who had their saves overwritten. The good news is that they’ve been working on a fix and plan to put it on the public test server soon, where those interested can help test it before it’s pushed to the standard release.
