A NEW vegan fast food restaurant is set to open downtown.

Oowee, which was crowned Deliveroo Restaurant of the Year in 2019, opens its seventh location in the UK on August 27.

The Market Street restaurant will offer an all-plant-based menu, including fried chick’n and plant-based beef-burgers.

Oowee co-founder Charlie Watson said the restaurant is focused on “quality, taste and innovation”.

“Between 2014 and 2019 the number of vegans in Britain quadrupled and having been voted the best place in the UK for vegans it is safe to say there has never been a better time to open a vegan restaurant in Brighton, than now.” he said.

“Our mission at Oowee is to lead the future of fast food. The quality of the vegan foods that are now being developed is mind blowing and we want to be at the forefront of this and be enjoyed by meat eaters as much as vegans.

“Following a successful pop-up in Brighton last year, we are delighted to be back this summer with our new design flagship store.

“We’re in a fantastic location in the heart of The Lanes and can’t wait for the community to try our food.”

Oowee started in Bristol and opened two locations in London in 2020.

The Brighton branch is open Sunday to Wednesday from 11.30am to 10.30pm and Thursday to Saturday until 11.00pm.
