New World is having a weekend off before a violent rabbit rebellion erupts

If you haven’t tried New World yet, or maybe you’ve fallen off the hype train at some point in the past few months, now might be a great moment to jump back in the game as Amazon Games’ MMORPG is right in the middle of a free weekend now!

Those interested in trying out the game have been able to do so since yesterday, with the end time landing on Monday for this exciting time for the game 11 April. When the weekend is over and we’re all back at work, The base game and deluxe edition are discounted by 40% until Monday, April 18th – so enough time to reconsider the purchase.

A new event that may tempt those with a taste for this new world is Rabbit’s Revenge. That’s right, the rabbits are sick and tired of being brutally murdered and skinned and still getting over the rampant rabbit breeding that has happened since launch, the rabbits are repugnant. No, not because they picked up the hammer or the sickle or anything, but because they have the plague. They’re real rough buddies.

In this event, you and your friends will go slaughtering hordes of these corrupt rabbits that are currently threatening the very existence of everyone living on Aeternum. There’s a good reason for that, too, as you can earn up to three Diamond Gypsum through loot drops, as well as five daily luck-boosting consumables. Overall good loot considering the size of your opponents.

It is almost rumored that the bunnies hold a mystical storage chest. How did you manage to transport that? What would rabbits even put in a chest like that? There’s only one way to find out.

If this has piqued your interest in New World, check out the roadmap the developers released a few weeks ago for a glimpse of what’s to come. New World is having a weekend off before a violent rabbit rebellion erupts
