New Year’s Eve and New Year’s supermarket opening hours for Irish Aldi, Lidl, Dunnes Stores, Tesco and SuperValu have been announced

SUPERMARKETS across the country have very different opening times during the holiday period.

And the Lunar New Year holiday is no different – so it’s important to know when you can visit each shop to make sure you don’t get caught.

Here’s a full breakdown of opening hours for the coming days at Aldi, Lidl, Dunnes, Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Supervalu Irish stores.

LIDL

Irish Lidl shops have different opening times during the New Year period. From December 28th to 30th, shops will be open from 8am to 10pm.

Shops remain open on New Year’s Eve from 8am but close earlier than usual at 7pm.

ALL Lidl stores will be CLOSED on New Year’s Day.

Doors will reopen on January 2nd from 9am to 9pm and on January 3rd shops will be open from 8am to 10pm.

Lidl has warned that store opening hours may vary, but you can check your local store for details on how to find a store.

ALDI

From Tuesday 27th December to Friday 30th December shops will be open as usual from 9am to 9pm.

And on New Year’s Eve, the shops are open late – from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, Aldi closes its doors on New Year’s Eve.

• Sunday 1 January – closed
• Monday, January 2 – 09:00 – 21:00

Tesco opening times vary from store to store across the country, but you should expect some changes to normal opening and closing times.
