The musician said the pair were “overjoyed” as he shared the exciting news in an Instagram post.

Nick, 29, shared the good news in a black-and-white post on Friday, which read: “We are delighted to confirm that we have welcomed a baby through a surrogate.

“We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our families.”

Nick concludes Instagram posted by thanking his followers for respecting the couple’s privacy as they bonded with their newborn, while also adding a red heart emoji.

Meanwhile, the new mom shared an identical message on her own Instagram account.

Priyanka, 39, and Nick got married in 2018 after less than a year of dating.

Immediately after Nick shared a post announcing the baby news, fans flocked to the comments section to congratulate the newlyweds.

One wrote: “Congratulations! I love you- you’ll be great moms and dads, I know it.”

Alongside the heart and crying emoji, another added: “Congratulations Omg.”

The third said: “Oh yes! I’m happy for you! Congratulations!!!”

TMZ then reported that the baby was born on Saturday at a Southern California hospital.

The magazine reports that they have welcomed a baby girl, although the name has yet to be released.

The couple were spotted walking hand in hand in San Diego at Del Mar Dog Beach just a day before their daughter was born.

Nick and Priyanka welcomed their first child together just months after fans wondered if the couple is calling a divorce.

Speculation began when the actress Quantico removed Nick’s last name from her Instagram profile.

Her bio is now simply: “Priyanka.”

She made a similar move on Twitter because that profile now shows her name in bold letters and nothing else.

Many fans think that her name change on social networks means that the two have broken up.

Months earlier, fans had expressed their concern for the star couple as they celebrated Valentine’s Day separately.

At the time, Priyanka was filming a movie in London while her husband was in Los Angeles filming the final season of The Voice.

After months of divisive speculation, Priyanka and Nick put down rumors when they appeared on the Jonas Brothers Family Roast, a comedy special that released on Netflix in November.

They further proved their bond is strong when Nick posted a PDA photo with his wife on Thanksgiving.

Priyanka put her arm around Nick’s shoulder and leaned down to kiss him from behind.
