Nicki Minaj’s husband was sentenced to a year of house arrest for registering as a sex offender.
enneth Petty was also ordered to pay a $55,000 (£46,000) fine for the offence, according to the US Attorney’s Office.
He pleaded guilty last September.
Petty was convicted of rape in New York in 1995 and served four years in prison.
He and the rapper moved to California in 2019 but he failed to register as a sex offender during the required five-day period.
Prosecutors had previously urged the judge to give Petty more jail time, arguing that house arrest was not a severe enough punishment.
