Brooklyn Beckham’s new wife, Nicola Peltz, revealed she didn’t like him at first after the pair locked eyes from across the fields in Coachella in 2017.
The couple who landed the front cover of Vogue magazine after their million-dollar wedding last month, said it wasn’t exactly love at first sight.
Nicola explained that she didn’t immediately speak to her future partner, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, 23, when she was first introduced to him at the festival.
The Bates Motel actress, 27, said: “We didn’t get along at first.”
Despite the initial meeting, the couple became engaged in June 2020 and after two postponement of the wedding due to the age of Covid-19 they were married at the home of Peltz’s father, US billionaire Nelson Peltz, on April.
“When the world was at a standstill, we went through different variations on what a wedding should be like,” she said.
“We weren’t sure if we should have had a small party sooner and then a big one. In the end, we decided we wanted the big wedding as soon as possible so it could be done safely.
“And we’re so happy we did. It’s great to see the presence of so many of the people we hold dear again.”
The stunning couple has appeared in an anthology of artistic wedding photos that hit the headlines after publication got the exclusive right for their big day.
Nicola, 27, also revealed how her mother added a secret, and a very special touch, to her wedding dress.
Unbeknownst to her, Claudia, Nicola’s mother, asked the seamstress to sew an evil eye to protect her as well as a sweet message.
In a blue thread, the words were sewn together: “Nicola, my heart. You are me, I am you. All my love, all my life, your beautiful girl. me, inside and out. Love you mom.”
Nicola, who sported Victoria Beckham at her engagement party, looked stunning in a couture bridal gown from Valentino.
Elsewhere in the interview, the couple revealed how their wedding guests stuffed Wendy’s food truck at the after party, and Nicola, who hadn’t eaten all day ate three sandwiches consecutive meatloaf.
In addition to taking inspiration from Brooklyn’s famous ’90s wedding at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, they also drew inspiration from Iman and David Bowie’s wedding.
The couple said their vows in front of A-list stars including Spice Girls Mel B and Mel C, American actress Eva Longoria and tennis champion Serena Williams.

The kiss the couple shared after saying “I do” is said to last six seconds and the moment will be one of the many shared in the magazine.
