Nicolas Cage said his ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley “lights up every room” and has the “best laugh of anyone I’ve ever met”.
The Hollywood actor said he was “heartbroken” at the news of the American singer’s death, but found solace in the news that she was reunited with her son, Benjamin Keough.
The couple were married briefly in August 2002, although Cage filed for divorce shortly thereafter in November, which was finalized in 2004.
Presley’s death at the age of 54 was announced by her family on Thursday.

In a statement shared with PA news agency, Cage said: “This is devastating news.
“Lisa has the best laugh out of anyone I have ever met. She lights up every room, and I’m heartbroken. I find comfort in the news that she is reunited with her son Benjamin.”
Presley’s son died by suicide in 2020, and last year she wrote an essay, published by the US publication People, about the “horrible reality” of her grief following the death of her son. male.
