Nicolas Cage will star in a comedy dream script produced by Ari Aster

While Aster may not be directly behind the camera, that doesn’t mean the project won’t have a similarly dark sense of humour. Borgli’s directorial debut, “Sick of Myself,” premiered earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival to generally positive reviews. The film, which will also screen at this year’s Fantastic Fest, is unavoidably creepy; It revolves around a competitive woman who decides to only have her boyfriend once and for all by consuming a drug that completely destroys the user’s skin.

Needless to say, there was a lot of potential for this project. All the names involved seem to go well together on a creative level, and an up-and-coming director like Borgli could break into the mainstream thanks to the veteran talent of Cage and Aster. See how excited we were.

The film’s production start date and future release date are unknown at this time. Nicolas Cage will star in a comedy dream script produced by Ari Aster
