A nightclub has warned smelly players they will be booted out of the venue.
LGBTQ+ venue Tiny in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire posted the “polite notice” on its Facebook page, saying anyone not complying will be asked to leave.
Management believes Albert Road nightclub staff and customers have the right to be in an environment “where they are not sniffing at your breath or body odor”.
Bar staff are “supported by management” by asking people to leave the venue if they think a person’s body odor is becoming a problem, reports TeessideLive.
“Come on guys,” reasoned a post on the club’s Facebook page, “it’s just decent, innit.”

The club management said: “When you visit Tiny, please ensure good personal hygiene.
“Our employees and customers have the right to work in an environment where they don’t gnaw on the odor of your breath or body.
“If you’re old enough to drink and go to clubs and bars, you’re old enough to practice good personal hygiene.
“We all have the occasional day off where we forget to put on some spray or whatever. Just ask at the bar.

“We’ll do our best to find something to help us… But if it becomes a habit…”
“We have instructed our staff that if they think someone is making anyone else uncomfortable, they have management support,” she added, “then they can ask them to leave.” Polite message, stay safe.”
In a separate statement, a spokesman for the club added: “The post was meant to be cheerful but it’s started to annoy us all a bit.
“It’s become a bit of a common thing.
“If you’re mature enough to go out at night… we’re not a crèche, we don’t want to have to teach people how to apply spray or brush their teeth.
“We lost customers because of that, people left because of the smell.
“We are all about inclusion. But if our staff’s eyes water because of the smell over the bar, that’s not good.”
The club recently opened its upstairs cocktail bar and introduced a new Sweetie cocktail menu.
