Former Big Brother star Imogen Thomas recalled calling an ambulance after Nikki Grahame called her saying she wanted to die.

The beloved TV personality has struggled with an eating disorder her entire life and was admitted to 17 institutes for help.

However, when the lockdown was introduced in 2020, Nikki found her anorexia continued as she lived alone in her apartment.

Tragically, Nikki passed away just a year later in April 2021.

Talking about going to see her in her apartment, she said: “It was terrible. I’ve never seen her so well before. I went home and cried without tears.”

While Imogen said: “One Sunday morning she called me and said, ‘Imogen, I just want to die.’ The first thing I did was call an ambulance.

“The paramedics came but she didn’t take the ambulance. The paramedics told her ‘One day your body will give up on Nikki, but we can’t take you against our will. your wish’.

“Sometimes I think if she had been in the ambulance that day, it could have saved her.”

Another friend, Carly Cunningham, said: “At this point we thought, OK, this is really serious and it’s completely out of control. It’s a friend of Nikki’s and mine, who came up with the idea of ​​a GoFundMe.”

They have raised £70,000 to help Nikki get treatment.

“It was a really hard decision for us about which photos to use because she’s very unwell and underweight at this point,” Carly said. “So we went back to Nikki and let her decide which pictures to choose. People didn’t realize how serious it could go.”

Nikki was taken to the hospital after falling on a chemist, but later died.

Sue recounted Nikki being taken away in a bag and said, “Watched them put my little girl in a bag, take her down the elevator and I asked them her head… and I just stroked her. from the outside. They took her away and I never saw her again. A part of me died and I miss her, more than I can say.”
