Nine Omicron symptoms most likely to occur in a fully vaccinated person

OMICRON is still spreading across the UK with thousands of positive tests every day.

Knowing the signs is important, as it means you’re less likely to accidentally transmit the virus.

A series of extremely positive studies show Omicron to be milder than other strains to be vaccinated, with the first official UK report showing a 50 to 70 per cent lower risk of hospitalization compared to Delta. .

Health officials have repeatedly said the Covid booster shots protect against Omicron and offer the best chance of weathering the pandemic.

The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign is helping to get vital additional vaccines in British arms to avoid the need for any new restrictions.

Symptoms appear to be slightly different in people who have been vaccinated against Covid.

Professor Tim Spector, the man behind the ZOE Symptom Research App, where people record how they feel with the virus, has revealed about nine symptoms that are persistent.

I said newsGP: “Back in 2020, it quickly became clear that the original and Alpha versions of the coronavirus caused three very common symptoms – cough, fever, and loss of smell – as well as at least 20 other symptoms,

“When Delta came in, we noticed the change in the most frequently reported symptoms,

“Cold-like symptoms – including runny nose, sore throat and constant sneezing – become more common, along with headaches and coughs, especially in people who have been vaccinated.

“It causes common cold-like symptoms, particularly in vaccinated individuals, and fewer systemic symptoms, such as nausea, muscle aches, diarrhea, and skin rashes.”

The new rules now say anyone who tests positive on the right flow should record their results and isolate, and if they don’t have symptoms, they don’t need PCR.

If they have symptoms, they should still follow up with PCR, regardless of the LTF results.

And if the isolated people have negative side-flow tests on the fifth and sixth days, they will be able to reduce the isolation to five full days.

To get out of quarantine, you’ll need to take two negative tests 24 hours apart – so you may need to stay longer.

  • Diarrhea
  • Skin rash

It comes as Britain has passed the top of Omicron and experts say the end of the pandemic is now within sight.

Infections and hospitals are falling across the country – both measures have fallen for the first time since the super-spreading variant of Covid swept into the UK late last year.

The World Health Organization’s Covid envoy David Nabarro said Britain could now see “light at the end of the tunnel”.

And Professor Paul Hunter, from the University of East Anglia, predicts that life could return to normal by the summer.

Downing Street has hailed “welcome signs” in the data, with 84,429 confirmed infections daily yesterday.

As a result, ministers are in the process of lifting most of the restrictions next week with much of the Plan B measures set to be scrapped.

But in a sign that has been overlooked by many, London is currently at its busiest since Plan B went into effect last month.
