Nintendo acquires land for new development building in Japan

That just arrived: Nintendo has announced that it has acquired new land. According to an official PR, it bought this country next to its headquarters in Kyoto for around 5 billion yen (that’s almost 40 million USD).

The second development building of the head office (provisional name) is being built on this new site. The purpose of the facility is apparently to strengthen research and development, and the project should be completed by 2027.

“In addition to the traditional R&D investment and capital investment, we have positioned the site to be acquired and used this time as playing an important role in strengthening R&D.”
