NINTENDO favorites are unrecognizable with their new looks.

The classic characters were revealed in the first trailer for Nintendo’s Mario Strikers Battle League Football.

It’s the third game in the Mario Strikers series and is slated for a worldwide release next month.

The ten favorites returning to launch include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Rosalina, and Yoshi.

Donkey Kong, Toad, Wario, Waluigi, and Bowser will also return.

But a trailer has revealed that they’ve all gone through major changes.

Each character also received their own footie kit instead of their usual outfits.

Mario has removed his blue overalls and long red t-shirt, while Luigi has removed his unfaded denim overalls, brown work shoes, and green long-sleeved shirt.

Meanwhile, Peach has stepped out of her floor-length pink dress for a soccer jersey, shorts, stockings and studs.

But she will still wear her crown when she takes the field.

And the turtle-like Bowser looks even more terrifying in his gear than before.

They were revealed in a first-look trailer for the new game, which was only released in Japanese.

Mario Strikers Battle League will be a chaotic five-a-side football video game.

Aggressive tactics and one-on-one combat are allowed, but they give opposing players items to use in their favor.

Items include favorites from Mario Kart and Mario Tennis, like a slippery banana peel or peel.
