Ellie Taylor has become the ninth celebrity to leave Strict Come Dancing, missing out on a quarter-final spot and next week’s musical.

After the public vote, actress Ted Lasso, 38, found herself up against Fleur East in the dance.

Taylor took to the stage to jive Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl with her professional co-star Johannes Radebe.

Singer and radio presenter East, 35, performed the rumba to the Sugababes song Too Lost In You with her partner Vito Coppola, and the judges later delivered their verdict. .

With three votes for East and Coppola, Taylor was confirmed to go home, but chief judge Shirley Ballas also confirmed that she would choose to save East.
