More often than not, this is a sign that the network is congested, which is why it stalls during busy events like festivals.

But there are ways to check that everything is ok – and even some tricks to push the signal back through.

airplane mode

Airplane mode — better known as flight mode — cuts all kinds of connections when you’re flying.

Of course, that doesn’t mean you can only use it on vacation.

It can also be a pretty useful way to upgrade your network access.

So slide down from the top right corner of your iPhone and tap on the airplane icon.

Wait about five seconds and then tap it again to turn everything back on.

Check for a network update

Your network operator sometimes releases their own updates that allow things to run smoothly.

You can check if there is one available to install, open the settings and go to General.

Choose from here Around and if there is an update it should show up.

Reset network settings

One possible solution is to reset the network settings.

You can do this by going to Generalthen Transfer or reset iPhone.

Choose Reset to defaultfollowed by Reset network settings.

Take out the SIM card

It might sound like one of those old-fashioned pieces of advice, but maybe it has to do with the SIM card itself.

Take it out and put it back in and see if that helps.

Talk to your network operator

If the problem still doesn’t improve, the last resort should be to talk to your network provider.

They may be able to get you a replacement SIM card or otherwise help you.

And if that doesn’t solve it, maybe your network isn’t very good in the areas where you travel regularly.
