Noel Gallagher’s handwritten lyrics for Wonderwall fetched £46,875 in auction
A piece of paper with Wonderwall lyrics handwritten by Oasis star Noel Gallagher has sold for £46,875 at auction after it was taken down on Friday.
He pages with hit songs written in pencil that are said to have been written to help Gallagher during the band’s rehearsals.

More than 1,500 lots, including about 500 pieces of music, are being sold in Propstore’s auction through November 6.
Guitarist Gallagher and his brother Liam formed Oasis in 1991, but they have been entangled in a feud since the band split in 2009.
On Friday, Noel Gallagher’s 1962 Epiphone Casino Guitar also sold for £56,250.

He bought it on advice from The Jam’s Paul Weller and used it to record Oasis’s third album, Be Here Now, and demos for the band’s fourth album, Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist’s leather jacket, which he wore in the band’s early days and in the music video for their song Paradise City, also went on sale on Friday for £34,375.
A signed ticket to a Beatles concert also sold for more than double the original estimate of £12,500.
According to Propstore, the auction features one of the largest collections of Oasis memorabilia to have been auctioned in the UK, including Noel Gallagher’s sparkling silver Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar and a parka jacket worn on the field. stage by Liam Gallagher.

The collection also includes items by Michael Jackson, Sex Pistols, Blur, Rihanna and the Spice Girls, from clothing items to autographed posters.
David Bowie’s spacesuit, which featured prominently in his 1980 Ashes To Ashes music video, Whitney Houston’s Queen Of The Night costume from The Bodyguard, and a gun license application signed by Elvis Presley, was also put up for auction.
Propstore’s auction at Bafta headquarters in Piccadilly, London, opens on November 3 and runs through November 6.
