Northern Lights can be seen from TONIGHT UK after giant sun rays

IF YOU missed out on this rare opportunity to see the Northern Lights on Sunday, you might still have one last chance left.
Some northern parts of the UK could be in luck on Monday night, as long as the skies remain clear.
The phenomenon dazzled the sky on Sunday night – and into the early hours of Monday – with glowing greens and purples.
And now the Met Office predicts that screens could fill the sky on Monday night.
But it won’t be as widespread as before.
The northern regions of Scotland have the best chance of spotting it again.
“The effects are expected to begin to fade today, with aurora visible at high latitudes,” the forecasters said.
“The chances of an aurora appearance in the UK tonight are decreasing and are expected to be limited to most of the north of Scotland under clear skies.”
Data from Nasa and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows that there is an 80% chance that Earth will experience a major space storm on March 14.
What Causes Auroras?
I was born in the NorthAlso known as aurora borealis, it is caused by electrically charged particles from the sun striking gaseous particles in our planet’s atmosphere.
This solar flame usually joined by a coronal mass ejection – which is a large expulsion of plasma from the sun’s outer layer.
Massive explosions of material from the sun create a geomagnetic storm, which brings the aurora borealis down to lower latitudes.
Solar storms produce bright, colorful lights that dance with whites, greens, pinks and purples that light up the sky and are considered an awe-inspiring sight.
The color change occurs when different types of gas particles collide with charged particles.
