Norway’s Elisabeth Terland signs for the WSL season at Brighton
Norway striker Elisabeth Terland returns to Amex as a player from Albion.
The 21-year-old has signed a two-year deal with SK Brann, subject to international clearance.
She was impressed with both the stadium and the Seagulls’ training facilities during the last Euro 2022.
Terland has scored five goals in 13 caps, earning her last cap as a second-half substitute in Norway’s defeat by England at the Amex.
She was an unused sub when they returned four nights later to play Austria.
Terland said: “I got a taste of the club playing at the Amex, a beautiful stadium and using the training facilities with Norway at Euro.
“I have a lot of ambitions that I want to achieve in my career and playing abroad is one of them, so I’m really excited to come to Brighton and show what I can do.”
Albion boss Hope Powell said Terland offers good options in advanced positions.
Powell added, “We think she will adjust to the WSL quickly.
“We are very happy to welcome them to the club.
“She is determined to perform well and advance her career and we look forward to working with her.”
Terland’s new signing succeeds South Korean winger Yeeun Park, who is also on a two-year deal.
