Moors killer Ian Brady studied a Bible considered “the devil’s masterpiece” while incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital.
The copy of the controversial New International Version of the evil pedophile’s bible is available for £550.
Brady, who was sentenced to life in 1966 for the murder of five children, was declared insane in 1985 and taken to Ashworth Hospital in Merseyside, where he became obsessed with religious philosophy.
Now the book – labeled with Brady’s name and hospital address – is for sale on the Dark Crimes Collectables website, along with a letter from Brady to a priest named Arthur asking for it.
Arthur tells Brady, “I used my resources through the church and I was able to get this special pressing.”

Some conspiracy theorists call the 1978 NIV “the devil’s masterpiece” because disagreements over translations from the Hebrew and Greek led to claims of intentional editing to promote evil and Satanism.
Rory Everett, 33, of the website, said Arthur was known for turning to various lags. He added that a boom in crime documentaries has increased demand for memorabilia.
But he said: “We must not forget their terrible crimes. Keeping their memory alive makes us aware that killers are real, and just because they’ve been written into the history books doesn’t mean it won’t happen again.”
Brady and his partner Myra Hindley tortured and sexually assaulted their victims and murdered them on the Peak District Moors.
Hindley died in 2002 at the age of 60 and Brady died in 2017 at the age of 79.
