Nua Healthcare has announced plans to create 470 new jobs nationwide.
he private provider of intellectual disability and mental health services in Ireland has already employed 300 people as of March.
The new functions will be based at the company’s existing locations in 22 Irish counties, with Nua Healthcare planning to open additional locations in seven counties.
According to Nua Healthcare, the new positions include roles in general and psychiatric nursing, psychiatrists, psychologists, behavioral and occupational therapists, support workers and social workers.
The expansion comes as Nua Healthcare sees continued growth and a nationwide need for its services. Established in 2004, the company currently employs over 2,000 people across Ireland.
Some support roles are open to those with no prior healthcare experience. Nua Healthcare has also introduced the opportunity for new entrants to retrain for a healthcare role through a training program to meet growing demand.
“The supply of new healthcare jobs will be distributed across operations and services across the country, and the nursing support roles in particular will be open to all, including those who have not previously worked in the healthcare industry,” said Chief Operating Officer Shane Kenny.
“We provide inpatient, assisted living, daycare and community services to both children and adults with a range of complex support needs that require a great deal of patience and empathy,” he added.
