Olivia Attwood says she “gutted” her screen time was cut short in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! because she wanted to show a “different side” to herself.
Former Love Island contestant, 31, was forced to withdraw from the ITV show after routine blood tests showed she had low sodium and potassium levels and signaled anemia.
Attwood said that when tests were repeated in the hospital they were back to normal, however the decision was made that she would not re-enter the camp.
Upon landing back in the UK, the TV star had to have more blood tests and the results came back normal.
In his first TV interview since flying home from Australia, Attwood told This Morning: “I’m grateful that I’m healthy, but it makes it harder for me to accept because I’m disappointed that I’m still healthy. is fine. That’s what it is. Intestinal removed. “
Attwood said she has been a “big fan” of the show her whole life and is looking forward to being the first Love Island contestant to appear.
She said: “The jungle conversations started the first year I left Love Island, it’s been five years for that moment.
“I think when you appear on reality shows, you have a huge opportunity and I did great things.
“But I also thought you could be put in a box and I was looking forward to showing a different side of myself.
“I’m not a quitter, I’m not scared much and I love it and look forward to being exposed to new audiences who don’t know me or think they do but probably don’t know who I really am. . . “

This morning co-host Holly Willoughby said: “I’m so sorry for you.
“When I saw the line and I saw your name in it, I thought, right here is a girl who is going to make it all the way because you are so funny, so brave, so strong and I think this exactly what we needed in that jungle and then 12 days of isolation, going in, jumping out of the plane. “
The reality TV star replied: “It’s counter-climax. There are loads of things going around the internet, I think pregnant Olivia Attwood is trending on Twitter, that’s not what I can guarantee you.
“I fell in love with it, I was really in my element and I felt healthy so I was more confused. It’s all really weird.”
When asked how she was able to approach former health secretary Matt Hancock upon admission, Attwood said she used humor.
“I think it is a difficulty. When you live with someone in those environments, I think you have to look at things carefully,” she said.
“I would probably do it with humour. I’ll give him the bit of a stick he deserves even though it’s tough although it’s funny because what happened when he was in his position wasn’t funny at all.
“If you are someone who has lost a loved one and can’t say goodbye to them while he is snooping in his secretary’s face for anything, that’s no fun but I think I’ll go. follow that route to try to have a little fun with it. That is a difficulty. “
When asked if she could come back next year, Attwood said it would be a “logistic”. She added that she didn’t watch the show properly because it made her feel “sad”.
Attwood added that the winner is a “hard to call” but English footballer Jill Scott and Loose Women presenter Charlene White were selected as potential champions.
