Olivia Colman has just revealed the embarrassing moment of sitting “riding” her young co-star in a romantic scene in Empire Of Light.

Colman told The Graham Norton Show: “There was a particular moment where I was riding Michael in a compromising and somewhat embarrassing situation, and he said, ‘Today is my mom’s birthday.’
“When he said she was 43, I thought, ‘Okay, stop talking!’”
The Crown star, who played The Queen for two seasons until Imelda Staunton took the role, said Sir Sam thought of her for Empire Of Light while watching the Netflix series.
She added: “We had a Zoom chat during the lockdown and I said ‘OK, yes’ before I knew what it was.
“It was an incredible award for him to write something for me.
“That was a great part, thank god. Can you imagine if it was trash?”
