Legal paperwork was reportedly served to Olivia Wilde on behalf of her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis when she appeared on stage to promote her new film.
he director was appearing at a presentation of her upcoming thriller, Don’t Worry Darling, with her partner Harry Styles and English actress Florence Pugh at CinemaCon in Las Vegas when she was presented with a brown envelope.
US media reported that a person from the seating area approached and Wilde pushed the envelope marked “private and confidential” across the front of the stage, who then opened it. US entertainment news website Deadline said it contained custody documents regarding the two children the 38-year-old has with Ted Lasso star Sudeikis.
A source for 46-year-old Sudeikis told US showbiz portal Variety: “Papers have been drawn up to establish jurisdiction over Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis’ children.
“Mr Sudeikis had no knowledge of the time or place the envelope would have been delivered as that would be solely up to the process service company involved and he would never condone it being delivered in such an inappropriate manner,” the source added added .
The couple were together from 2011 to late 2020 and are parents to son Otis, eight, and daughter Daisy, five.

CinemaCon executive director Mitch Neuhauser said the event was re-examining its security procedures.

“In light of this incident, we are re-evaluating our safety procedures to ensure the safety of all of our attendees,” Mr. Neuhauser told Deadline in a statement.

Wilde said in December she was “happier” than ever after beginning her relationship with former One Direction singer Styles.
“I’m happier than ever. And I’m healthier than ever and it’s just wonderful to feel that,” she told US Vogue.
“Don’t Worry Darling” premieres in September after filming had to be interrupted several times during the pandemic.
Styles, 28, has received recognition for his recent headline-grabbing performances at the Coachella festival in the California desert, where Wilde was filmed observing him from the side of the stage on April 15.
Sudeikis, meanwhile, plays the eponymous trainer Lasso in the south-west London-based Apple TV series, which features a mostly British cast and has won numerous accolades over the last awards season.
