Well, you already know what we’re about to say – we’re thinking he backside, baby. After the explosive events of “Parabellum” (essentially a Latin term, “prepared for war”), John Wick had to flee from his fellow assassins, the legendary High Table. and quite a few others with handy weapons, our favorite former assassin with an epic grudge to deal with is once again left with some allies and a fighting army try to beat him.
Our Jacob Hall saw this on the big screen at Hall H at Comic-Con, and he simply said, “That’s the rule.” We can’t disagree, especially since Keanu Reeves is kicking his ass with a nunchaku.
As with the previous installments, stuntman/filmmaker Chad Stahelski returns to direct “John Wick: Chapter 4” from a screenplay by Michael Finch and Shay Hatten. Reeves is once again joined by “The Matrix” co-star Laurence Fishburne as King Bowery, Lance Reddick as the mysterious hotel worker Charon, and Ian McShane as the indomitable Winston (who appeared betrays Wick in the closing moments of “Parabellum”, but likely only so he can escape virtually unscathed). They will feature new franchisees Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Bill Skarsgård, Scott Adkins, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson, Marko Zaror and Clancy Brown.
John Wick will triumphantly return to cinemas on March 24, 2023.
