She captioned the clip, “When you see Goofy coming around the corner after waiting three years to hug him again.”
Footage shows the moment she was overwhelmed as she hugged the anthropomorphic dog.
Disney allowed its park guests to hug the characters starting April 18 after imposing a ban since 2020 due to the pandemic.
Some were cynical about the woman’s lively reaction – while others thought she deserved a break.

One person said, “Ohh yeah I’m fine with Disney adults but some of you adults need to remember there’s another adult in costume lol.”
Another wrote, “We need to do something about Disney adults.”
Someone else said, “Disney is for kids.”
Another didn’t see what the big deal was, writing, “I don’t even like Disney that much but I don’t see what’s wrong with that.”

The woman later revealed the deeply personal reason she was so emotional.
She said: “It might sound silly but my dad’s favorite character was Goofy and when I hug Goofy it’s like hugging my dad all over again.”
Her sincere admission made many people reconsider her harsh criticism and quick judgment.
Someone wrote: “Please take the time to read the caption. The grieving process looks different for everyone.”
A Disney World employee also commented on the post and shared his reaction.
They said, “THIS is why we go to work every day. This actor loved all of it, so happy for you dear.”
‘THICK SKIN’
In an interview with The Post, Racul said she has thicker skin than being affected by comments made by strangers online – but she worries for others who may be more vulnerable.
She said: “I’ve been into some of these video duets/pricks and comments and a lot of the people behind the account are in middle school/high school/college.
“These are really formative years in learning how to interact with others and I worry about how brazen people have become online when criticizing strangers.”
She admitted she was surprised by her reaction too, but Disney World meant a lot to her.
Racul’s grandparents were members of the Disney Vacation Club and have since passed away. Until 2019 she was regularly visiting her parents.
“I was surprised by my own reaction to the hug [Goofy] once again.
“The tears came out of nowhere. All the performers there were wonderful too and Goofy gave me a long hug and lots of special interaction because he saw it meant a lot to me.”
