VALVE have announced they will be giving away a brand new Steam deck for every minute that The Game Awards is live.
The Game Awards, also known as the Gaming Oscars, typically last around three to four hours.
That means hundreds of handheld consoles could be given away as part of the promotion.
The promotion is set to celebrate the show for the first time in live streaming via Steam.
Anyone residing in the US, UK, Canada or the EU is invited to enter the drawing, which will take place every minute during the fair.
To have a chance to win, you must verify your country on your Steam account and not have a restricted account.
Then you must actively follow the awards ceremony via Steam to stand a chance of winning.
A new winner will be announced in chat every minute during the live stream.
The Steam Decks being given away are the 516GB model, which is the most expensive.
It normally costs £569 ($649), which is one of the more expensive consoles currently on the market.
Unfortunately for UK and European fans, the awards ceremony will be televised and a rather sleep-unfriendly time.
For North American viewers, it will be streamed live Thursday, December 8, 2022at 4:30 p.m. ET or 7:30 p.m. PT.
For those in Europe, however, things continue Friday December 9th, 2022at 12:30pm GMT or 1:30 p.m CST.
However, if you plan to stay up for the event and want a chance to win, you can register for the competition through your Steam account.
The Game Awards Hub on Steam will also be offering discounts on Steam games and free playable demos for upcoming games during the show.
All registrants will also receive a Steam Pal digital sticker to use in chat.
