RUNNERS have just days left to register for an event raising money for victims of domestic violence in Sussex.
Registrations to take part in the 8k Undercliff Run for Women, the 15th fundraising run in support of RISE – Brighton and Hove’s domestic violence charity, close at 11.55pm on 25 September.
The annual run takes place on October 16 at 10am at the Saltdean Undercliff after two years of pandemic-related restrictions, which saw a virtual race in 2020 and a smaller event in 2021.
All monies raised through sponsorships go directly to services supporting families from communities in Sussex affected by domestic violence.
RISE’s services include a domestic violence hotline, counseling and therapy, support groups and a shelter for those in dire need.

The charity’s fundraising and engagement manager, Ava Harding, said: “We are delighted that our flagship 8K Undercliff Run For Women is back at full capacity this year. Over 200 women have already registered and we are very much looking forward to the ceremony.
“Now in its 15th year, this fantastic event is vital to RISE’s continued crisis support and emotional care, helping women and families in our local communities across Brighton, Hove and the surrounding area to recover and rebuild their lives. ”
