Only Fools’ David Jason, 81, makes a rare appearance with his daughter Sophie, 20, on the Cirque Du Soleil red carpet

ONLY Fools and Horses Star David Jason made a rare appearance with his family on the Cirque Du Soleil red carpet.

The actor was pictured with his wife Gill Hinchcliffe and their 20-year-old daughter Sophie Mae, who brought a friend to the celebrity-packed preview event.

David, 81, beamed for the camera as he was photographed attending the opening night of LUZIA at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Thursday night.

He was close to his wife Gill, 62, as his daughter put her loving arms around the star, who is best known for her character Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter on the BBC sitcom.

The comedian looked dapper in orange trousers, which he teamed with a plaid shirt, black jumper and black jacket to keep warm.

David completed his look with a blue square bag and a flat top hat, creating the signature look of his much-loved character.

Meanwhile, wife Gill beamed in a black and white sequined dress, while Sophie wore elegant black trousers, a ruched pink shirt and nude heels.

The 20-year-old showed off her multi-colored hair on the red carpet, which was split into light pink and pale lilac sections, as well as wearing heavy makeup.

David updated his career while attending the LUZIA event, insisting he is still busy writing scripts and brainstorming ideas for TV bosses.

He told Online email: “‘I’ve been very busy writing and creating documentaries, just trying to get channels’ interest.”

“I’m on the creative side, still waiting for Tom Cruise to hire me in Mission Impossible,” the star continued to joke.
