Actress Jamie Lee Curtis showed her support for Ukraine when she wore a blue ribbon during a red carpet appearance at the Oscars.
The Freaky Friday star, 63, was among other celebrities standing by refugees worldwide amid the ongoing crisis as Putin’s Russia continues to invade the country.
The United Nations Refugee Agency distributed the ribbons to the stars to wear before and during the 94th Academy Awards.
Anadil Hossain, Senior Communications Advisor at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, told ShowBiz411: “This year’s Oscar-nominated films contain some strong stories that revolve around the themes of refugees, displacement, home and belonging – Encanto, Flee, Three Songs for Benazir, Belfast, and dune – at a time when the world is witnessing the biggest refugee crisis since World War II.”

The tapes include the hashtag #withtherefugees to show support not only for refugees from Ukraine but also for the 85 million displaced people around the world.
Anadil added: “Artists wanted to show their solidarity with Ukraine and we wanted to ask them to extend that support to the nearly 84 million people who have been forced to flee. Whenever. Wherever.”
Hollywood legend Jamie was one of the first stars to make it onto the red carpet tonight, sparkling in a beaded midnight blue gown.
Other stars like Vanessa Hudgens and Nicky Hilton spearheaded the glamor on the red carpet.
Actress Vanessa, 33, shimmered in a skin-tight, sequined black dress with cut-outs as she posed for photos.
In contrast, Nicky Hilton opted for a pale pink flowy dress as she showed off her baby bump.
Also pretty in pink was Lily James, who looked stunning in a lace dress with straps that gathered at her feet.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 27 and begins at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
For those tuning in from the UK, the awards ceremonies will start at 1am on March 28th. Like most years, it takes about three to four hours.
The star-studded event is available for UK fans on the Sky Cinema Oscars sub-channel. Coverage can be streamed online via NOW with a NOW Sky Cinema Pass.
US fans can follow the event on ABC.
