Oti Mabuse didn’t speak to Motsi for three months because of her sister’s role as the Strict Judge

Oti Mabuse will be able to talk to her sister Motsi until her heart is satisfied when she stops Seriously come to dance like in the past, they banned themselves from socializing out of fear of being accused of favoritism.

31 year old professional dancer was one of the stars of Serious since 2015 but Sensationally dropped the show this week revealed she won’t be returning for the 2022 season.

Oti .’s sister Motsi, 40 years old, become a judge on hits BBC in 2019 – puts the sisters in the dilemma of when one will criticize the other professionally.

And to avoid any accusations of bias or ‘correction’, the sisters agreed to forgive each other when they appeared together on the show – despite the strict airing for months.

Oti previously explained to The Sun: “We are very professional and to be fair to everyone, that needs to be.

“I only really saw her on Saturdays when she was critiquing. Kelvin and I didn’t really talk to her either, because we were too busy. “

Indeed, Oti said she only knew that Motsi had been appointed judge in 2019 around the same time as the others.

She said: “I only knew on the day Motsi was announced, because the production didn’t tell me anything. They did what they did and they did what was best for the show. Also I have no control. I know how amazing Motsi is and when I saw her in that capacity, I was proud of her.”

Now the ladies won’t have to face this problem as Oti has dropped the BBC show that has made her a household name across the UK.

Announcing his shock on Tuesday, Oti wrote online: “I can’t put into words how difficult this decision has been, but I’ve decided not to come back for the next series.

Motsi proved that she is a supportive sister as she was the first to wish Oti well on her future endeavors.

In one Instagram her own, the sister wrote: “I am proud of this girl. I was there from your feet and I wanted to watch you all the way but to see you grow is such a privilege, I sit back and tears of pride roll down my face!

“Love you sis go get them and Good Luck @otimabuse she is a Lion, fearless, brave and daring.”







Oti’s fans were shocked when she jumped from BBC to ITV to be a judge on Dancing On Ice

Fans probably expected Oti to give up Serious after six years of her career when she suddenly jumped ship ITV take on the role of judge on the rival show Dancing On Ice.

While back in April 2021, Oti hinted that series 19 of the BBC show – in which she competed alongside sportsman Ugo Monye – would be her last.

She told the Telegraph: “I love to dance and I also love to bring joy to so many people. But I think it will be the last time.”
